Quantum Rehab (Pride Mobility Products) engineers and manufactures high-end power wheelchairs with functional, durable, stylized, high-performance elements and features to improve clinical outcomes and increase functionality and quality of life, such as power seating for pressure management, backup cameras, Bluetooth, and fender lights.
Collaborated in designing cutting-edge new mobility concepts while continually developing and improving the brand’s design language for multiple products
Designed intricate, complex, and aesthetically pleasing plastic moldings and body parts for injection molding manufacturing
Harnessed digital manufacturing tools such as 3D printing to build prototypes; functionally test prototypes and iterate upon designs to achieve fit, form, and function
Set up, maintained, and monitored 3D print builds and general build shop environment; ensured appropriate stock of supplies and materials
Led design research efforts to explore new and innovative future mobility concepts; brainstormed use of new, experimental technologies to anticipate advanced mobility solutions

Six-month research thesis exploring how digital manufacturing technologies and open-source design can be harnessed to produce personalized, accessible, and economical orthotic devices
Worked closely with a user experiencing chronic radial nerve palsy
Conducted research through user interviews, observation, medical and scientific literature, and user testing sessions
Used CAD and 3D printing to produce working prototypes; delivered proof of concept during thesis presentation
Project was well-received, earning top score of 110/110
Industrial Design Intern | Yakima Products | Portland, OR | July 2021 – October 2021
Yakima is the world's leading brand of car racks, including roof racks, bike racks, hitch racks, and more for all of life's adventures.
Collaborated closely with Senior Design Engineers to lead the design direction for an innovative OEM roof rack tower, successfully implemented in a production vehicle for a major automotive manufacturer.
Constructed functional prototypes in order to iterate designs and provide proof of concept
Developed new and innovative conceptual products to support Yakima brand growth into untapped market segments
Conducted design research to identify opportunities where the Yakima brand could provide meaningful and novel experiences to existing users
